        Rest In Peace, Gizmo

Dear far away dad, this will be the last letter I send to you and far away mom, I left for Rainbow Bridge this morning, I just had to go.

I did not give mum any sign I was to leave because I did not want her to cry and beg me to stay.

Master Largo sent a message he needed me. Please don’t cry for me, send me love and good wishes on my journey, and tell my cousins I will pave the way for when they need to come to Rainbow Bridge .

I must go now, I was only allowed long enough to say goodbye. Thanks for helpen mum take care of me, thanks for all the really cool things you sent to me. I am on my Harley now riding free in the wind.

Gizmo, your biker girl no more

Dear Mommy Cheryl and Mum Brenda & Daddy Tim,

I woke up very early this evening, and not to the knocking on my door, but to the soft dooking sounds of ferret angels singing in a new arrival. Normally Hobbes comes and lets me know who is on their way, but with a song like that, there was only one fuzzit *I* could think that it belonged to. I quickly bounded outside, and the sun was just beginning to set, but instead of the stunning autumn, gold is usually is at this time of the year, it was a soft, dreamy pink and the scent of honeysuckle filled the air. Standing in semi-circle, wings all a flutter were Lil Bit, Frebbie, Katman and that ever-so beautiful Rascal. They were too were singing and I couldn't help myself but begin to sing as well.

        Get her motor runnin'
        Head out on the highway
        Lookin' for adventure
        And whatever comes her way
Yeah Gizmo' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your dooks at once
        And explode into space

She likes 'tone and war dancing
        Heavy metal thunder
        Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that she's under
Yeah Gizmo go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
        And explode into space

        Like a true furry child
You were born, born to be wild
        Onto the Bridge you arrive

Having the time of your life!

        Born to be wild
        Born to be wild

It was nice to see the four of them there, all glowing brightly, and I have to tell you, I never get tired of being in the presence of that all that grace and all that beauty, and of course all of that warm, wonderful and most magical love. So on we walked, towards the Bridge and to the rest of the singing fuzzits. It was a cool and brisk evening, and as we made our way to greet Gizmo, I noticed that the spiders had been hard at work weaving these beautiful and intricate webs, which had then sprinkled with diamond-like dew by blue jays and hummingbirds, to create a truly grand landscape for her arrival. I only wish that we had a way of sending you guys pictures so you could see exactly how beautiful it truly was and how stunning she was when she got here!

Rascal saw her first and I could hear her musical giggle even over all of the singing and the next thing I knew she shot off like, well like a ferret darn it, and she ran right into Gizmo's waiting arms. These two girls stood there, embracing and then they began to do that girly-thing where they jump around in place holding hands and screaming for glee. Katman looked at me and rolled his eyes and then ran right to her and hugged her as well. She looked so darn terrific. She had on this old fashioned bike helmet with goggles and a nice pink, leather jacket and the biggest smile on her face. I don't imagine that anyone even saw an arrival quite like that and don't doubt that there will ever be another like it for years to come.

After all the hoopla died down and we had a few moments together, she took me to a quite place and she smiled at me, and wiped the remaining sleep from her eyes and said, "Wow, that was great Pie, but could you do me a big favour, and tell both my moms and my dad and everyone I loved, that I got here ok. I am so lucky for all the good and wonderful things that were in my life, and even luckier still that when it was my time to come here, God allowed me to come in such a peaceful way. It was like I went to bed like normal and then I began dreaming of riding off into the sunset and the next thing I knew I could hear fuzzits singing and it made me giggle, until I realised it was all for me and, well thank you!!!!

I promise you all, we will take good care of her, but I somehow suspect she will do a good job of that all by herself - she has that chutzpah about her, the kind that means she's part business and part fuzzit girly-girl and of course, part biker chick as well, and they are a real tough but sweet lot, don't you agree???

        In Love & In Comfort,

        Pie O' Pah
